Singing is More Than Learning a Few Catchy Songs

There’s a common misconception that singing lessons are solely about getting kids to memorise lyrics or prepare for an upcoming school performance. But, they’re actually about helping children to understand the building blocks of music. As children work through our singing lessons in Bristol, they begin to recognise rhythm, pitch and melody, giving them a far deeper understanding of music and singing as a whole.

We enable them to experiment with different styles of music, discover how songs can tell stories and learn how tunes can influence mood and emotion. We also introduce music theory, composition and performance skills, all in a way that’s appropriate and fun for their age.

Singing Lessons in Bristol That Grow Each Year

There’s no denying that one-off singing workshops can be a lot of fun, but if you want children to make lasting progress, they need consistency. At Learnable, our singing curriculum is divided into six units across the school year, with each term building on the one before it. Skills are revisited regularly, giving pupils the chance to build on what they’ve already learned, before moving on to something new. We want pupils to leave each lesson knowing a little bit more than they did before, feeling proud of what they’ve achieved and looking forward to the next session.
